The following is a list of the standard specifications commonly referred to covering the production and processing of stainless steel sheet, coil and plate. It is not an exhaustive list and generally covers only American and European standards.

Major stainless steel producing countries usually have their own standards numbering system and often product with similar characteristics has a different standard number depending on the country of manufacture.
